A lot of music today composes of sampling and taking tracks from the past. Its not so much about mimicry as it is about perfecting the sound already there. Avicii takes a classic classical tune and uses electronic coded sounds to created a perfect sounding (in terms of pitch and tune). Its like auto-tuning classical music.
